Motion City Soundtrack will be playing a few shows with Weezer in December. Joining them will be Jacks Mannequin on those shows as well. The first show is December 1st in Chicago at the Aragon Ballroom. More information to follow.

Pop powerhouse Jack’s Mannequin are enlisting the help of their fans to create the video for their next single, “Swim”. “Swim” is the second track off of 2008’s The Glass Passenger.

What do they need from you? Jack’s Mannequin are asking fans for original artwork inspired by the song to incorporate into the video. The fan-created artwork should feature the word “swim” in some form and “illustrate, in any way chosen, the meaning behind the word (hope, perseverance, courage, determination and strength).” The work can be expressed in an abstract or representational form, but the band asks that the artwork not contain any imagery of actual “swimming”, and for it not to be too detailed.
