Nine times out of ten when your favorite band signs to a major record label, all that transpires after is normally negative. The constant spree of “they were so much better” and “look at how they changed their sound” runs rampant amongst all the popular music blogs. Very little do we see a band return to form after they’ve signed such a deal, but as unorthodox as it is, such is the case with Motion City Soundtrack latest release My Dinosaur Life.  Read more...

MTV.com is airing a special sneak peak of Motion City Soundtrack’s concert at NYC’s The Fillmore at Irving Plaza on February 3rd! Tomorrow, MTV.com will air the concert in full, but for now you can check out Motion City Soundtrack’s live performance of “Disappear” off their major label debut My Dinosaur Life here.

Motion City Soundtrack will be performing on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon February 2nd.  The band will be performing “Her Words Destroyed My Planet”. Fallon airs on NBC at 12:35 AM EST/11:35 PM CST.
