Rise Against will be heading out on tour this summer with special guest Rancid. Tickets are set to go on sale February 28th. The tour kicks off June 4th in Vancouver and continues through July 31st.  See below for a list of U.S. & Canadian tour dates. More dates to be announced soon.

Overall Rise Against put on a great show on their tour supporting their newly released album Appeal To Reason. One of the songs with the greatest response was of course “Prayer Of The Refugee” from their previous album The Sufferer & The Witness. Although the band played many songs from the popular album, they also had a strong focus on their new material from their album Appeal To Reason, which was definitely a sight to see and a definite crowd pleaser. During their set their vocalist ran around the stage, while the guitarist jumped off the drum kit and various steps scattered in front of the stage. Eager Rise fans got there early and were happily crushed against the barricade ready for the band to come on stage. All in all Rise Against are definitely a band to see and they’ll be heading your way soon if you live in Europe or Japan, but don’t worry if you don’t because once they’re done they’ll be heading back home to the states for Bamboozle. Fearless Records has announced the 8th release in their Punk Goes series. Punk Goes Pop 2 will be in stores and online February 17th, 2009. The album features tracks from The All American Rejects, Rise Against, Gym Class Heroes, Plain White T’s, Jack’s Mannequin, Relient K, Thrice, All Time Low, and more. Thrice is set to release a double live album and DVD on December 9th. The Album titled Thrice Live at The House of Blues features an entire live concert on two CD’s plus a DVD from a May 28, 2008 show at the House of Blues in Anaheim, CA.  Also included is exclusive interview footage of the band fielding fan-submitted questions.
