Ivoryline Set To Release New Album

May 13, 2010 By Bryce Jacobson 1 Comment

Ivoryline is set to release their new album, Vessels, on July 27th. Produced by Aaron Sprinkle (Anberlin, The Almost), Vessels showcases a more mature and diverse Ivoryline than was heard on their previous record. “We just started writing,” says vocalist Jeremy Gray. “We didn’t really have a plan or agenda for the record. We just wrote what was on our hearts and hashed out the songs together. We had ample time to get the songs just the way we wanted and had a blast writing and recording the record. It really was one of the most exciting, joy-filled times of my life.”

Tuesday Recommendations

May 11, 2010 By Jessica Astronaut Leave a Comment

I had to pleasure of seeing Ha Ha Tonka on Sunday night. Their name is silly, but these boys mean business. Their first few songs were okay, but slowly, I was fascinated and within four songs, I was in LOVE. Their sound is unique, the stage presence like none I have witnessed before and the crowd ate it up. Their live show was full of enthusiasm, sing alongs, and straight up feel good jams. They sound pretty great recorded, too.

The Maine Announce Release of New Album Black & White

May 4, 2010 By Bryce Jacobson Leave a Comment

The Main are set to release their new album, Black & White, on July 13th through Sire/Action Theory Records.

Black & White is a departure for the band. “We’re trying to go for more of a raw feel – really just a free, loose record,” explains front man John O’Callahan. Inspired by the classic sounds of American rock-n-roll, the album is a collection of songs with universal, relatable themes that retain the sense of youthfulness and fun that is distinctly The Maine. A new song from the album, “Inside of You” is available exclusively on iTunes starting today, May 4th.

As a gift to fans, The Maine is launching an exclusive Black & White pre-order campaign on May 13, 2010. Upon pre-ordering the album, buyers will instantly receive the video for “Inside of You,” along with two acoustic bonus tracks a week before release.
