Emery will be releasing a new EP titled, While Broken Hearts Prevail, on October 28th. The band will be out on tour this fall with Hawthone Heights, The Color Fred, and Tickle Me Pink. Check out a video update from the band below.

Hawthorne Heights have agreed to drop, in its entirety, their August 2006 lawsuit against Victory Records. Victory Records will release Hawthorne Heights’ third studio album titled Fragile Future on August 5, 2008. Fragile Future follows two highly successful albums with Victory Records. Hawthorne Heights has been added to the upcoming Projekt Revolution tour along side Linkin Park, Chris Cornell, The Bravery, and Ashes Divide. The band will be appearing on the Revolution Stage along with Atreyu, Armor For Sleep, 10 Years and Street Drum Corps.

An article on MTV reports that Hawthorne Heights’ Casey Calvert died of accidental mixture of medications.

Hawthorne Heights guitarist Casey Calvert died due to the “acute combined effects of opiate, citalopram and clonazepam intoxication,” according to the results of an autopsy released Monday (December 17) by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Washington, D.C. He was found dead in the band’s tour bus outside the 9:30 club in the city on November 24.

To Write Love On Her Arms will be releasing a  shirt in  memory of Casey Calvert of Hawthorne Heights. All proceeds will go to Casey’s family and funeral expenses. Pick up a shirt here.

Hawthorne Heights wanted this moment — this opportunity — to honor their friend, and, as we started the half-hour interview with the band to, as they put it, “put to rest some of the rumors and misinformation that have been out there since Casey died.” Those rumors include the suggestion that the guitarist had suffered from acute asthma or other lingering physical condition that may have contributed to his death. Untrue, says the band — and they reemphasized the point, first made in their Web site statement over the weekend, that there were no illegal drugs involved. Ashley Calvert seconded that assertion, saying “never” in the time she knew Casey had he used any dangerous drugs.

Hawthorne Heights have posted a message stating that member Casey Calvert has passed away. You can read the message on their MySpace page.

When the Cute is What We Aim For interview didn’t pull through, and I was given the opportunity to interview another band in place of CIWWAF, I knew immediately that I had to conduct one with Hawthorne Heights. They’re just overall a great band. So I interviewed Eron Bucciarelli, drummer of Hawthorne Heights. Obviously I didn’t have time for any research, so the questions are leaning towards generic, but Eron gave great answers, so enjoy!
