Anberlin To Enter Studio

Anberlin will be working with Neal Avron (Yellowcard, Fallout Boy) for their next album. The band will hit the studio for 8 weeks starting February 4 with plans to release the album later this year.

“We’re very excited about working with Neal,” says frontman Christian. “We begin rehearsals at the end of the month on the new songs and hope to transfer that energy to the studio. I think our fans are going to be pleased when they hear the final result.”

Give It A Name 2008

The Give It A Name Festival in Europe has announced its lineup of bands. The 2 day event will take place in London at Earls Court and in Sheffield at the Sheffield Arena on May 10th and 11th. You can see the list of bands in the image below.

The Morning Light To Enter Studio

On February 4th The Morning Light will begin recording their new album with producer Matt Goldman (Underoath, Copeland, Cartel). The record will be released later this year courtesy of Fearless Records.

EMI To Cut Jobs

EMI is set to cut 1,500 to 2,000 jobs in a restructuring program. The label is also considering having corporate sponsors for their bands as another source of income.

Yellowcard On Tour With MxPx

Yellowcard will be going out on tour with MxPx The Spill Canvas and will be doing the entire tour unplugged (acoustic). Also, anyone who purchases Yellowcard’s new ‘live’ album the week of release (from January 22nd to January 28th) will also receive a code from Ticketmaster to pre purchase of up to four tickets for the tour beginning January 30th before they go on sale to the public on February 2nd.
