Hardcore Band Covers Paramore

April 24, 2008 By Bryce Jacobson 4 Comments

Sea of Treachery has coverd Paramore‘s “Misery Business”. Check out the song on the bands MySpace page. Haley posted this response to the band.

Sea of Treachery’s cover of “Misery Business” IS better than the original version. Faces will be melted. Floors will be punched. Change will be picked up. Limbs dismembered.

but really, this is just a note to the dudes in the band:

Thanks, guys, for taking the time to cover a Paramore song. For whatever reason you did, I’m siked. (edit: it’s just easier to spell it this way haha) to hear it covered by a band in a totally different scene. It rules. The gang vocals at the end of the bridge is an amazing addition. I must admit, I was expecting a change up in the guitar solo but sticking with the original is fine by me. Good luck on the road and with the release of the new record.

Everyone: Sea of Treachery’s “˜At Dagger’s Drawn’ comes out April 29th. Do it, to it.

love,
h-bomb

Motion City Soundtrack To Release Acoustic EP

April 24, 2008 By Bryce Jacobson Leave a Comment

Motion City Soundtrack will be releasing an acoustic EP via iTunes on May 6th. Check out the update from the band below.

Hello People!

I’m here to let you know that we recently recorded some acoustic versions of songs off of our latest record Even If It Kills Me. We entered the studio with no preconceived ideas of how we wanted the songs to sound. Was it a brilliant plan to encourage spontaneous creativity, was it just plain laziness, or were we just too darn busy doing other things to even think about it? The world will never know…  All that we know is that we are really happy with the outcome. We left the session with 5 unique and spontaneous takes on some of our favorite tracks from the record.

The good news is that they will soon be released on our first ever acoustic EP – out May 6th exclusively on iTunes. You can either buy it bundled with Even If It Kills Me for $11.99 or just purchase the songs individually if you already own the album. Check it out and let us know what you think!

– Matt

Tracklisting
Fell In Love Without You
It Had To Be You
Broken Heart
Can’t Finish What You Started
