Patent Pending are currently recording their new. The band has been added to some Warped Tour dates and the second day of the Bamboozle Festival on May 4th.

According to the band “Plenty of more shows and announcements to come as we are battling our way through the recording process. The new songs sound a lot like if Billy Ray Cyrus and Meatloaf were to get together with Andrew W.K. and go to a middle school dance… Things are getting weird”

Patent Pending come bearing gifts this holiday season, including a brand new holiday song, video and a tour this December! The song titled “She’s a Ho-Ho-Ho Merry Christmas” is now streaming on their MySpace page. The song can currently be purchased on Amazon and eMusic. Additionally, the band has wrapped up a video for the song and it will premiere in the near future.

On December 21st the band will embark on a holiday tour, select dates will be with Catch 22. For fans in the Long Island area, they band there will be a special performance and signing on December 5th at Looney Tunes Records to celebrate the store’s re-opening!

Patent Pending will be hitting the road again on the “Summer Crush Tour” with Suburban Legends, Zolof The Rock and Roll Destroyer and Jet Lag Gemini. Dates coming soon! Check out their myspace page for some shows coming up this week.

Patent Pending’s new video for “This Can’t Happen Againâ€? has been completed and is ready for your viewing pleasure. Band World episode #4 is the intro to the video. The band will be out on the road this fall with Gym Class Heroes and Cobra Starship in support of Save Each Other, The Whales Are Doing Fine.

Pop-Punk with an extra side of fun is one way to put Patent Pending’s new album Save Each Other, The Whales Are Doing Fine. The band mixes fast crunchy guitars with fun dance along rhythms in songs like “Los Angeles” and “This Can’t Happen Again.” I swore I was listening to Punchline when “This Can’t Happen Again” came on as the vocals sound almost the same. “Decemberween” has more of a reggae style with it’s guitars and added horns. The band seems to fill in a bunch of other tracks that have either a ballad style or are filled with sappy love lyrics for the wrest of the album.
