Paramore Update

March 12, 2007 By Bryce Jacobson Leave a Comment

In a recent update, Paramore announced the departure of guitarist Hunter Lamb and the name of their new album title being announced tomorrow. You can read the bands message below.

Hey everyone,

First off, we wanted to take the time to apologize to all of the fans in Australia and Japan for the recent cancellation of our spot on the New Found Glory tour and the Japanese Punk Springfest. We feel absolutely terrible for this. We hope you will understand…

The past few months have brought incredible things our way and have also forced us to face some of the hardest times we’ve ever been through as a band… both professionally and personally. At some points, we had
no clue how we would all come through or if we’d even make it far enough to record the album. And even though we made our way through many of those things, we weren’t able to come through the way we had pictured it. We have parted ways with our friend and guitarst for the past year, Hunter Lamb. We wish Hunter the best in all that he does next and in his engagement and marriage. It was a blessing getting to know him on
the road and we were lucky to have him in the band with us. Obviously, we’ve been through more than a
couple member changes and we are sure it’s probably frustrating and confusing to you guys and we aren’t
really sure what more to say. Sometimes, things just don’t work out the way you thought they would.

Right now, we feel really great as a four piece band. But who knows what the future might hold, as we are always full of these types of surprises. Hopefully, these changes will better prepare us for the year(s) to
come.

Thank you for always being supportive and caring about us. We love ya’ll. Stay tuned for a more positive entry… to be posted soon. Contrary to what this post might make you think, we’re actually really excited and hopeful about our future and about the Spring tour with The Almost and This Providence. What we’re most excited about, though, is the release of our sophomore record which we are going to announce the title of tomorrow!

Talk to you all very soon.

Love,
Paramore

Matchbook Romance Announce Indefinite Hiatus

March 12, 2007 By Bryce Jacobson Leave a Comment

Matchbook Romance has announced that they are going on an indefinite hiatus. You can read the bands message below.

Dear fans and friends,

Today is a sad day. Because it is on this day that we, the members of Matchbook Romance, have decided to part ways and go on an indefinite hiatus. This was not at an easy decision for us to come to, as it seems it’s taken months for the words to even form on the tips of our tongues. Its a decision that we thought we would never have to make, but unfortunately, after 5 years its a decision that best suits our situations.

We’re going to miss all of our adoring fans, and friends that we’ve made on this adventure. We thank all of you for letting this thing we started into your hearts and for holding us in such high regard. We love all of your stories of traveling across the country just to see us play one show, and we love all the amazing gifts you guys have handcrafted for us personally. You will not be forgotten, and hopefully the music of Matchbook Romance won’t be either.

So yes, today is a sad day, but it is also a good one. This is our chance to leave on a good note and forge ahead in the world to see what else is out there. We hope you guys will understand, and we hope you will look forward to the next time you hear from us.

Here’s to the good times,

Matchbook Romance
