Meg & Dia Gear Stolen

March 27, 2007 By Bryce Jacobson Leave a Comment

Meg & Dia were recently robbed in Houston. Read their message below and if you know anything about the situation please help them out.

We have some very troubling news to report.

Last night, March 25th, while we were staying at a hotel in Houston on the corner of La Concha and Kirby, our trailer was broken into and our equipment was stolen.

We have a hunch we were robbed by someone who may have been at the show. If you have ANY information leading to the retreival of our gear, please call anonymously (213) 989-6871. Its just a house phone, leave a message if no one picks up.

The police said that very often the gear will be placed on Craigslist or at a pawn shop. We’ve listed everything that was taken below. There will be NO QUESTIONS ASKED for its return, but we’ve grown up with these instruments and they are very near and dear to us. Please help if you can.

1997 American Jazz bass (black)
2 Sennheiser ew300 wireless
Fender Telecaster (white)
Washburn strat (brown)
SKB pedal board (black) — (included boss tu-2, jekyll and hyde distortion, mxr smart Gate, ernie ball volúme pedal, big muff, ibanez fl 9, ts 808, boss dd 5)
White laptop in black Computer case.

Thanks,
Meg & Dia

Thursday Part Ways With Island Record

March 27, 2007 By Bryce Jacobson Leave a Comment

Thursday has parted ways with Island Records after four years and two albums. The bands statement can be found below.

We will be completing all of the touring that we have booked for the rest of the year. Then we plan to start writing for a new record. We have not decided where this new record will be released yet. Although weâ┚¬Ã¢”ž¢ve had several wonderful offers already, weâ┚¬Ã¢”ž¢re just enjoying our freedom for now (Weâ┚¬Ã¢”ž¢ve been on one label or another since 1999). Itâ┚¬Ã¢”ž¢s very exciting to have the opportunity to start again.
