Just yesterday Sullivan announced that they would no longer be playing on their current headlining tour. A message from the band today states that they have decided to call it a day. Read the message from the band below.

I suppose the time has come to address sullivans situation. Some of you may know we have recently dropped off the “Cover Your Eyes Tour”, which is funny I know since its our headlining tour.  As far as I know the tour is still happening with the other bands involved so please go out and support them.

Project 86 will release their new album, Rival Factions, this Tuesday, June 19th. The band will embark on the “Rival Factions” Tour starting June 16th in Cincinnati, Ohio. Joining them will be labelmates in Showbread and Sullivan and Solid State Records’ artist, Inhale/Exhale. Check out the tour dates below.

Sullivan has posted a new song titled “Fire Away” on their MySpace page. The bands new album Cover Your Eyes hits stores in two weeks but there is still time to pre-order your copy at Interpunk.com, you’ll get an exclusive Sullivan T-shirt.

With a style that most people would categorize probably as “Alternative Rock” I feel as if Sullivan falls into a small category which most people don’t recognize, “Vocal Rock”. Bands will be defined by a number of things but bands like My Chemical Romance and Coheed and Cambria are ones that are defined by the singer’s voice. The vocals in a sense make the band what they are. Sullivan, in my opinion, falls into the Vocal Rock category with the unique pipes that Brooks Paschal lets shine on their first, and now sophomore record “Cover Your Eyes”.
