Punk Goes Classic Rock Set For April Release

Punk Goes Classic Rock, the 9th release in the “Punk Goes” compilations series is set for release on April 27th, 2010. The complication will feature a selection of the best up-and-coming alternative rock bands doing their own cover versions of classic tracks by such bands as Journey, Queen, KISS, Def Leppard, The Rolling Stones, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers and Blue Oyster Cult. 2010 Take Action Charity Tour

The 2010 Take Action tour is currently rocking the road with We The Kings, Mayday Parade, A Rocket To The Moon, There For Tomorrow, Call The Cops, and Stereo Skyline. The annual nationwide charity tour, now in its ninth year, raises funds and awareness for youth involvement in charitable action.

In an effort to make a difference throughout the Take Action Tour, Sub City along with DoSomething.org and Driving For Donors have organized a series of charity events that allow bands to participate in local communities and take action. The bands will be visiting children’s hospitals in Seattle, Salt Lake City, Denver, and Texas for special meet & greets with patients, as well as an acoustic performance to brighten their day.

In addition to off-site charity events throughout the tour, We The Kings, Mayday Parade, A Rocket To The Moon, There For Tomorrow, Call The Cops, and Stereo Skyline will be making special signing appearances at select Hot Topic stores. Dates can be found below.

Virtually appearing out of thin air, We The Kings have sneaked onto the scene with their new self-titled album. The band is made up of long-time friends who sing about their life experiences and even their hometown. Going the way of bands such as The All-American Rejects and Boys Like Girls, We The Kings bring out their pop rock and coat it with a sweet layer of catchy sing along lyrics. On their first single “Skyway Avenue” the band showcases their catchy rock style with lyrics like “Cause If you jump I will jump too, we will fall together from the buildings ledge, never looking back at what we’ve done, we’ll say it was love, cause I would die for you on Skyway Avenue.” With songs like “Whoa” , “The Quiet” , and “All Again For You” We The Kings are sure to please pop rock fans of all kinds.
