mewithoutYou are announcing a co-headlining tour with Sparta. The US dates, which kick off February 2 in Omaha, NE will support their latest album, BROTHER, SISTER (Tooth & Nail).

I had the pleasure of sitting down with Aaron Weiss from MewithoutYou after their in-store performance at Plan 9 in Richmond, Virginia. I just want to thank Aaron for sitting down with me and giving me an interview that really made me think about things. ( I am in bold and Aaron is in normal text.)

- State your name and position in the band.

My name is Aaron and I’m the singer of the band. I play a tiny bit of the guitar, a tiny bit of accordion, a bit of percussion. Nevermind, just say singer.

Adie Camp - As the former frontwoman of rock ensemble The Benjamin Gate and songwriter Jeremy Camp’s wife, Adie has, for better or worse, no lack of ties to the music industry. This Tuesday, her first ever solo album Don’t Wait debuts through BEC Records. Her music is undeniably pop laced with acoustic rock, and despite being lumped into a competitive genre that’s already overpopulated, Adie manages to beat out much of her stake. For an idea of her style think catchy choruses like early Michelle Branch mixed with soft spoken vocal insight reminiscent of Anna Nalick. Check out “Your Way” on her myspace.
