Motion City Soundtrack Release Week Fun

September 14, 2007 By Bryce Jacobson 1 Comment

Motion City Soundtrack has a lot going on next week for the release of their new album. Get all the info below.

Release Week Fun!

Hi everybody, as you all know by now, our new album “EVEN IF IT KILLS ME” IS IN STORES EVERYWHERE THIS TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 18. There are lots of really cool things going on to get ready for it… First and foremost, the good folks at Epitaph have decided to give away a FREE DOWNLOAD of our new single, “This Is For Real,” for simply helping to spread the word about the big day this Tuesday. All you have to do is download THIS simple album artwork, make that your default photo on your Myspace or Facebook page, and then send a message to Epitaph’s Myspace page after you’ve done so… They’ll then send you a free mp3! Easy as can be…

Also, to celebrate the release, we have a ton of release-week activities happening, including a very very special show in New York City on Tuesday night! Check out the schedule below to see what we’re up to:

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 18 — MYSPACE SECRET SHOW – KNITTING FACTORY — NYC — 7 PM
What a better place to be than the Big Apple on the day our album comes out! And to celebrate, we’re going to be doing a MYSPACE SECRET SHOW at our old stomping grounds, The Knitting Factory (74 Leonard St New York, NY 10013)… Entry is limited, so get there early and stay in line — this is first come first served! Doors open at 7 pm, and FAREWELL and EONS will open the show… This show is FREE and ALL AGES are welcome. For more info call (212) 219-3006

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 19 — IN STORE SIGNING – BEST BUY — BOSTON — 6 PM
We’ll be heading up to Boston to do a signing at Best Buy Store 1471 (360 Newbury St / Boston, MA 02115-2707) September 19 at 6 pm. Come on in, pick up a copy of “Even If It Kills Me” and chill with us in Beantown!

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 20 — IN STORE SIGNING — HOT TOPIC — PHILLY — 6 PM
Beginning Tuesday, September 18th, purchase “Even if it Kills Me” from the Hot Topic store at the Plaza at King of Prussia Mall and receive a wristband that guarantees you a place in line to meet Motion City Soundtrack on September 20! One wristband per person. Space is limited. Plaza at King of Prussia (160 N. Gulph Rd. / King of Prussia, PA 19406)… Call (610) 265-6610 for more info.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 21 – IN STORE SIGNING – LOONEY TUNES – LONG ISLAND — 6 PM
As you may or may not have heard, an awesome Long Island record store was destroyed by fire last week… As a way to give back to a store that has long been a MCS supporter, we’ll be doing a benefit signing to help Karl and crew in the rebuilding efforts. We’ll be signing copies of “Even If It Kills Me” starting at 6 PM on Friday, September 21. The signing will be held at Chosen One Collectible Toys (21 Brookvale Ave / West Babylon, NY 11704), which is located immediately next to Looney Tunes and is operated by members of the Groeger family… Starting this Tuesday when the store opens, copies of “Even If It Kills Me” will be sold at Chosen One with a wristband to attend the event, and will be available there through throughout the signing.
*ALL PROCEEDS FROM THE SALE OF CD’s WILL BE DONATED TO LOONEY TUNES AND THEIR REBUILDING EFFORTS AS A THANK YOU FROM THE BAND AND EPITAPH RECORDS FOR THE STORES CONTINUED SUPPORT OVER THE YEARS!
