One for the Team has set August 19th as the release date for their upcoming Militia Group debut, Build It Up.

The Militia Group has signed Arizona based The Summer Set. The bands new song “Close To Me” can be heard on their MySpace page.

We Shot The Moon has posted a new song from their upcoming full length entitled “Upon Waking She Found Herself A Cougar” on their MySpace page. Fear And Love is out 4/29 via The Militia Group. You can pre-order the album for $8 here.

Minneapolis must be the new hot spot for bands because Minneapolis based Sing It Loud have signed to Epitaph Records, and Minneapolis based One For The Team have signed to The Militia Group.

Before I start I have to be completely honest I had really high expectations for Driving East and their first full length on The Militia Group. A label who spawned the careers of bands like Rufio, Cartel, and many others. So it goes without saying Driving East have huge shoes to fill.

We Shot The Moon (ex. Waking Ashland) have signed with The Militia Group. The bands new EP, Polar Bear and Cougar, is available now on iTunes. The band plans on releasing a full length record titled Fear And Love this spring.

So it’s time you learned some details about our upcoming b-sides record.

The title of the record is “Dressed Up and In Line”.

The idea is this - we’re taking rare and unreleased recordings from the last 7 years and revisiting the original tracks. All of them are going to be re-mixed and re-mastered. Many of them are going to be updated a bit with added strings, vocals, keys, and guitars. Some will be altered more than others. The goal is to have a cohesive album that can be listened to as a whole, rather than just a hodgepodge of songs (can you use the word “hodgepodge” in an official press release? I don’t know…but I did…twice).

Juliette & The Licks (The Militia Group) have been nominated for Yahoo’s Who’s Next! contest. Vote early and often!

The Panic Division has posted a new song titled “Big Day” on The Militia Group Sampler. The song is from the bands upcoming album, Songs From the Glasshouse, due out August 21st on The Militia Group.

Militia Group artist Chase Pagan has released his stylistically-expansive debut EP, The Chase Pagan EP, for free at InSound.

The EP consists of five stellar cuts, including a spot-on cover of Queen’s “Play the Game” (#5). Tracks 1-3 are from Pagan’s forthcoming debut, Oh Musica– while tracks 4 & 5 are from “The Lost Recordings”, and were produced by the acclaimed Ross Robinson (The Cure, At the Drive-in). Such talented musicians as Stephen Perkins (Jane’s Addiction), and Gretta Cohn (Cursive) appear on the recording.
