Anberlin Title New Album

April 20, 2008 By Bryce Jacobson Leave a Comment

Anberlin has titled their upcoming new album, New Surrender. You can read an update from the band below.

Hey guys, Stephen wrote a description on the album title, check it out below:

we will all come to the point in our life where we have to admit that we feel defeated, that something has conquered us. we must change, not because we want to, but because we desperately have to. we can not take life in its current suffocating state, even to admit such desperation shows that we are feeling deserted, wandering the barren desert, a shell of our former selves.

it is only up from here, it is impossible to sink any lower into ourselves or our circumstances. but we can be salvaged, a deliverance. no vice can stand, no fix can take. the thorn in the side can be removed, but you have to be willing to admit and surrender. surrender your habits, your lifestyle, your past, your present, and your future. this is your new surrender. the new surrender.

new surrender.

Taking Back Sunday Update

April 20, 2008 By Bryce Jacobson Leave a Comment

Taking Back Sunday has posted an update on their writing process. Check it out below.

Hello Human Beings and various other life forms.

The current new song count is up to 12. Can you frickin believe it??? We’re still writing away and starting to figure out all the more advanced details of the forth (and 4th) coming Taking Back Sunday album. Details like who will produce it? Where will we record it? Just who exactly is playing the guitar? Am I wearing pants?

— right. now that I have your attention (and by no means as a way to bring you down) I would like to talk about something that is very important to me.
I recently became more aware of the situation in Darfur. While this has been covered in the news and you may have heard about it, the depth of the violence and unrest overwhelmed me. TBS will be participating with Dream For Darfur to try and do our part to bring awareness to this issue and help where we can. To find out about what is happening there and what you can do, please visit DreamforDarfur.org. I recommend starting at the ‘background’ section.
Just because this is taking place far away and you dont see it nightly on the news doesnt mean it isnt happening or that people dont need your help.

Thank You
Matt
