Yellowcard Announce UK Tour

September 18, 2010 By Bryce Jacobson Leave a Comment

Yellowcard has officially announced their first returning tour to the UK with friends All Time Low.

“Huge news everyone! We are so stoked to make our very first tour announcement. We will be heading to the United Kingdom with All TIme Low in March of 2011!” says frontman/guitarist Ryan Key. “We haven’t been able to get across the pond since 2006 so this is really exciting for us. In addition to playing England and Scotland, we are also finally getting to play a show in Ireland! The shows will be from March 1st through the 12th and you can get your tickets here: http://myspace.com/yellowcard. We are looking forward to sharing the stage with All Time Low and playing some new Yellowcard tunes for our UK fans! See you in March!”

Returning to their pre-major label indie beginnings, Yellowcard recently signed with Hopeless Records for their seventh studio album, the first since 2007’s Paper Walls. Ryan Key (vocals/guitar) and original members Sean Mackin (violin) and Longineu (“LP”) Parsons (drums) continuing with Ryan Mendez (guitar) and longtime friend of the band Sean O’Donnell (bass), will be entering the studio later this month to begin crafting their new album. Stay tuned for studio updates.

The tour kicks off the first week of March and ticket pre-sales will began next week. Full tour dates below:

Max Bemis Song Shop Is Open Again

September 15, 2010 By Bryce Jacobson 1 Comment

Max Bemis (Say Anything) has opened up his Song Shop where fans can have a song written for them personally by Max, about anything they want. You simply pay with Paypal, write a summary of what you want in your song, and send it off. Max does the songs in the order received and sends you an mp3.

Today, Song Shop is opening it’s doors for the first time with the option of a half price, somewhat shorter song, as well as the original offer for a full song. Also, to keep the craziness a-comin’, the first 1500 people in this run of songs will receive a free phone call from Max. You simply plug in your number when you buy a song and Max will call you once he gets to your song. You will have about five minutes to chat (since the dude has 1500 people to call) but you can use your time to ask him whatever you want, share your Say Anything experiences or just chat about your song.

Sing It Loud Call It Quits

September 15, 2010 By Bryce Jacobson Leave a Comment

Minneapolis based Sing It Loud have decided to part ways. The band, who’s latest album Everything Collide was released back in May, will be playing a series of final shows that will be announced soon. A message from the band was posted on their blog and you can read it below.

Time To Say Goodbye”¦

After three years of playing music together, we (Pat, Ben, Nate, Chris and Kieren) have decided to step away from Sing It Loud. We would like to thank everyone who has supported us through this amazing part of our lives. We have been given a rare opportunity to do something many people never get the chance to do, and for that we are eternally grateful. There is no drama or bad blood between any of us, we are all going out together the same way we came into this- as friends. There comes a time in everyone’s life when they need to make choices and steps towards what will make them happy, and we are all ready to take those steps in our lives. We have grown so much from this, and are ready for the next chapter in our lives. This will not be the last you hear from any of us. We all plan on continuing with our musical careers, so we hope the amazing support from Sing It Loud fans will continue as we do. A series of final shows will be announced soon, so be on the look out for those and for what we do next. Thank you all for enriching our lives and giving us the chance to share our music with you. We could not be more content with what we have accomplished.

Love,
Kieren, Pat, Ben, Nate, Chris
