Taking Back Sunday Working On New Music

December 10, 2007 By Bryce Jacobson Leave a Comment

Taking Back Sunday is currently in New York working on new songs. You can read a message from the band below.  It is also being said that Andy Jackson of Hot Rod Circuit with be replacing Fred Mascherino who left the band to pursue his solo career in The Color Fred.

May I have your attention please, you can have it back after you read this.

We here at Taking Back Sunday just thought you might like to know what we’ve been up to.

As is turns out…making new music. We have come from our separate corners of the country to write and rehearse in a top secret location in NYC. We are sitting on a half dozen hot, fresh new songs. Im sorry, you may not hear them yet. This is just the beginning as, well, things still need to get in their right place. We are excited about what we are working on and most importantly we are having fun.

We have some exciting and interest things in the works and 2008 will be a big one. We want to thank everyone for staying with us and supporting us over the years. We wish you all Happy Holidays and Happy and Peaceful New Year.

Now go back to whatever you were doing. By the way, you look really good right now. I’m just saying.

We Shot the Moon

Artist: We Shot the Moon
Album: The Polar Bear & Cougar
Label: Self Released
Purchase: N/A
Release Date: N/A

Overall: 8.5
Music: 9.0
Lyrics: 8.5
Production: 8.0

Infectious pop rock is the best way to describe We Shot the Moon. As the superb combination of Jonathon Jones (Ex Waking Ashland) Joe Greenetz and Dan Koch from Sherwood; they have proven to create some of the catchiest, most compelling songs of the year. “The Waters Edge” alone is enough audio candy to hook anyone in. The Polar Bear & Cougar is nothing short of an awesome introduction for this young band. We should all look forward to more music from these guys in the New Year.

Standout Track
The Waters Edge

Track Listing
1. Sway Your Head
2. Julie
3. The Waters Edge
4. Key Change (LTFP)

Bassist Leaves Senses Fail

December 9, 2007 By Bryce Jacobson Leave a Comment

Senses Fail bassist Mike Glita has left the band. You can read a message from the band below.

Dear Loyal Fans,

We regret to inform you today that our bassist, Mike Glita, has decided to part ways with the band. There are no hard feelings involved with his decision; Mike simply wants to move on and pursue personal ventures and feats he has put on hold for the last 5 years. We all had a good talk about it and wish him nothing but the best.

Something Mike would like to say to the fans: “Thanks to everyone who supported the band and me through ‘thick and thin’ over the past 5 ½ years. You’ll be missed greatly.”

As for the four of us (Buddy, Dan, Garrett, Heath), we will continue Senses Fail and see you all next year on tour. We began the writing process last week for our follow up to Still Searching and will keep everyone up to date with videos, photos and blogs!

Again, apologies go out to the loyal fans for the bad news, but we hope you support his decision as much as we do.

-Buddy, Dan, Garrett & Heath.
