Jimmy Eat World Announce 2011 Tour Dates; Tonight Show Peformance

Jimmy Eat World will be on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno this Friday, October 29th. The band has also announced their first tour dates of 2011, with more dates to follow. Beginning on January 28th in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the tour will run through the southern states before heading up the east coast, with shows at the 930 Club in Washington D.C. and Club Zoo in Pittsburgh. Tickets will be available by pre-sale starting on Wednesday, October 27th at 11am. Please check www.jimmyeatworld.com for more details.  On sales to the general public start Friday, October 29th (except where noted). Special guest Dave Bazan and Band will support all dates.

Jimmy Eat World Debut On Billboard Top 200

Jimmy Eat World‘s latest album, Invented, hit the Billboard Top 200 at #11. The album also ranks #4 Digital, #2 Independent Stores and #1 in Los Angeles. Fueled by “My Best Theory,” the band’s fifth top 5 Modern Rock single, the album sold more than 37,500 in its first week, besting first week album sales from many other well-known artists, including Neil Young, Phil Collins, Bad Religion, Interpol, and Seal to name just a few.

Jimmy Eat World are in the middle of a North American tour (dates below), and will begin their Europe/UK tour starting November 3 in Amsterdam. Reviews of the US shows have been nothing less than stellar with Newark Star Ledger, saying the band was in “great form,” and the Washington Post saying the band sounded “as fiery as ever.”

Jimmy Eat World Preview New Tracks; Album Pre-Order

Jimmy Eat World is now revealing 60 second clips of each track off their highly anticipated album, Invented. Unlock each clip from the new record by sharing with your friends. The band has also revealed their entire album artwork through their Facebook page. Go to the band’s Facebook page to “Like” their profile, then access will be granted to flip through each page of the booklet.

The first single off the album, “My Best Theory” can be heard now on the band’s official site, www.jimmyeatworld.com. Invented is also now available for pre-order here. The band is preparing to start their North American headlining tour September 21st at Center Stage in Atlanta, GA. Jimmy Eat World Release Studio Video, Additional Tour Dates

Jimmy Eat World has released a video shot live in the studio during the recording of their upcoming album, Invented. The video showcases the string session of the album’s first track, “Heart Is Hard To Find.” Check out the video below.

Fans can also pre-order the deluxe version of the album from iTunes which features 4 extra songs including an acoustic version of “Mixtape,” that will only be available with pre-ordered copies.

The band has also announced two additional US tour dates, Pomona on September 28th and a second New York show on October 13th.
