Ivoryline Studio Update #1

May 8, 2007 By Bryce Jacobson Leave a Comment

Ivoryline has posted an update from the studio.

Hello everybody. Greetings from Seattle, WA. This is Jeremy writing to you from Compound Studios in Seattle. Today is day one of guitar tracking and Scott is laying down tracks on the first song as I write. The weather is absolutely gorgeous today: seventy degrees, blue sky, snow capped mountains in the distance.

The past four days we have been tracking bass and drums at London Bridge Studios. That studio is ridiculous. So many successful records have been recorded there including Pearl Jam’s “Ten”, Blind Melon, and many more. Honestly, it was a little bit overwhelming to know all those incredible bands and musicians recorded and just hung out in the exact same place. Last night we finished up the drums and bass tracking. Some of you may have seen the exact room where we recorded drums because it is featured on the Anberlin “Cities” DVD.

Everything so far has been amazing. Robert and Wes both did killer jobs, and Aaron and Randy (our producer and engineer) were able to get some rad sounds out of that studio. And beyond that, they are absolutely incredible people and pretty much a perfect match with our personalities. We are truly blessed to be working with such a talented team of guys.

We would much rather do video updates for you guys but unfortunately, our video camera is having some issues. The first time I tried to get some footage it ate the tape immediately. We are going to buy another tape and see if we can fix it, but if not, we will just have do written updates like this one.

If you guys have any questions, thoughts, word of encouragement, or just want to chat with us, please send us a message or comment with whatever you want to say. We want more than anything to stay as connected and involved with you as possible. You guys are a main reason we have been able to reach this point, and without you, this record would be pointless. So thank you for all your support and love. We respect and love you guys. Until next time, stay in touch with us on myspace. God bless.

with love,
I V O R Y L I N E

Update From The Starting Line

May 8, 2007 By Bryce Jacobson Leave a Comment

The Starting Line has posted an update on their MySpace page. You can read the update below.

Hey everyone…

Matt here, hope you’re all doing well.

The past couple of weeks have been rather exciting for all of us. The new record (Direction) is 100% finished: mastered and all………artwork and photos are coming together, and we played 2 killer shows this past weekend in the most glorious of places, New Jersey.

I wanted to send out the biggest thank yous to everyone that came to the Myspace Secret Show at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, and everyone who checked us out at Bamboozle. All of you are what drives this band, and to have such a great reaction and to see/hear everyone singing along makes all the bumps along the way seem non-existent…and that’s amazing. We felt like we may have been off of peoples radar for a minute…but we all feel like we’re back and better than ever. So I just wanted to say thanks…I wish I could personally thank every one of you, but hopefully this message will do!

We’ll be out on Warped all summer…sweating it up with some of your favorite bands, so please come and say hello.

keep it real.
