Benjamin Harper Leaves Amber Pacific For Takeover

December 19, 2006 By Jamie Pham 3 Comments

Takeover Records owner Benjamin Harper recently confirmed his departure from the Hopeless Records pop-punk act Amber Pacific, whom he had been playing guitar with since August. Citing a need to focus his attention on Takeover as reasoning, Harper made clear that his leaving had nothing to do with the band itself. â┚¬Ã…”Amber Pacific are a bunch of great guys, but after writing with them in Seattle, I felt I needed to rethink my position in life.â┚¬?

With a move thatâ┚¬Ã¢”ž¢s reminiscent of his exit from Yellowcard last year, Harper is currently focused on bringing Takeover Records to the top. Though the guitarist has received an offer to play in a band you may have â┚¬Ã…”never heard of,â┚¬? heâ┚¬Ã¢”ž¢s not confirming his membership just yet.
