I think it’s pretty lame they are releasing the movie a day (night) early. Probably in hopes that the extra night of sales will push them past Spider-Man 3’s opening weekend
The movie was pretty much terrible. I know people insulted the second one, but I actually enjoyed the sequel, so I’m not just saying this because I think they should have only made one movie. I’m saying this because they used humor from the old movie, this movie had no plot, nothing in the movie was explained, and the ending was disappointing to people interested in the Will-Elizabeth romance. I did not like it.
Uff, I’m not sure where to begin on this. I liked most of it but it fell short in many places. (Spoilers from here on). First of all, at 2 hours and 45 it went by pretty fast, the first half was a bit slow but it sped up at the end. For the plot, it was very thin, stretched, and lacked a major story line. Each character’s role seemed to be ironed flat trying to squeeze everything out of them. Even though they shot this one at the same time as the second one, I think they rushed the script (they were still writing the third script as they were wrapping up the shooting for the second one if I remember right). Jack Sparrow’s role was miniscule and lacked on the witty parts compared to the first two movies. I’m still sad to see the series (possibly) come to an end. This one, like many movies, will require a second viewing to understand more of the plot. The visual effects, of course, were amazing as always though.
