This week marks the release of Emery‘s new album, I’m Only A Man. I’ve always been a fan of what this band has to offer. Be sure to check out their new album streaming here.
For fans of Anberlin & Mae.

We The Kings new album is also set for release this week. You’ve heard me rant on the band for a while now and its finally your chance to fully check them out. Take a listen to their single here, and pre-order their album on iTunes (Plus DRM Free) for only $5.99.
For fans of Boys Like Girls & Cartel

I would also suggest checking out The Quick And The Dead‘s new album this week. Their upbeat rock is sure to please many ears. Pick up the album for cheap at these places, Indie Vision Music, Smart Punk, InterPunk.
For fans of Spitalfield & The Wedding.

Adam Weidman
All I can say is… Foo Fighters. Their latest album, Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace is phenomenal! Also a huge congratulations to the one and only Brett Favre for breaking the record for career touchdown passes!!!

Mae Member Change

September 25, 2007 By Bryce Jacobson 1 Comment

Rob and Mark from Mae have decided to leave the band. You can read a message from the band below.

Hello everyone,
We wanted to let you know that Rob and Mark have chosen to leave MAE and pursue other endeavors. It has been an honor creating music together and we want to wish them the very best in everything they put their hands to. It has been a great 5 years growing together in this band, but sometimes people need change. Dave, Jacob and Zach will continue to create new music, work this record, and continue on this journey as MAE. We will see you on tour with our friends Motion City Soundtrack and Anberlin this fall.
Thanks for your support,
MAE (Dave, Jacob, & Zach)

To Everyone: This is the moment where the band known as MAE and I part ways. There are no regrets and i have enjoyed being a part of the building and development of what many people only dream of doing. Thank you to all of you who have supported and encouraged me over the last 5 years while I was a part of this band. It has never gone unnoticed. It has never gone unappreciated. My best to you all. Peace. Rob

Hey guys, thanks to all of you, it’s been a great five years. I’m married now. It’s time for me to settle down and do what husbands do, like mow the lawn, take out the trash, and make lots of sweet love. See you on the other side! -mark

Check out Broadway Calls, they’re a great up and coming gritty pop-punk band. As well as Envy on the Coast, whose new record Lucy Gray hit stores last week.

Both Simian and You Say Party! We Say Die! have been hogging my play time. YSP! WSD! has their new release, Lose All Time dropping in the U.S. on August 18.  And, if you’d like to see the charred remains of Simian, check out .

Be sure to check out these bands that are currently gaining a lot of attention that we previously featured on our “On The Rise” section, The Dangerous Summer and Metro Station. The Dangerous Summer‘s new EP will be out August 21st on Hopeless Records, and Metro Station will be on some big tours this fall including Just Surrender, Motion City Soundtrack, Mae and Anberlin.

For current releases be sure to pick up Tokyo Rose, The International Drive, Down to Earth Approach, and The Send‘s new albums.

Adam Weidman
The new album, Direction from The Starting Line is quite solid! Also The Receiving End of Sirens have their upcoming record streaming in its entirety on Myspace.

Sam Anacker
Interpol’s new album Our Love to Admire is another solid album, as is the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s new EP Is Is which features songs written during touring for their first record. As for upcoming releases look forward to Minus the Bear’s Planet of Ice, slated to hit August 21, and the nation-wide tour to follow!
