Hey everyone! It’s Tim from Underoath. We’re finally out of the studio and the stuff is coming along great! We mix in about 2 weeks and I can’t wait to hear the finished product!!! I wanted to let you all know that we finally have the live cd/dvd project that we’ve been working on since our headlining tour at the end of last year called ‘Survive Kaleidoscope’ finally done! As many of you know, we shot an entire live set at the Electric Factory in Philly. Our friends in Art/Industry shot it and ADG’s Ryan Gardner did all the editing, and all the audio was mixed by our good friend and producer ADAM D., and it turned out great! We also recorded our sets every nightof the tour mostly, and we are releasing a 12 song live cd from random cities on the tour so there very well may be a song that you actually saw live on there…if you listen closely you may hear you and your friends screaming..hah. Our friend Beau from Saosin mixed the live discand he couldn’t have done a a better job. I know some of you have been keeping up with the documentary portion of the project at underoathmovie.com and unfortunately due to differences in opinion as a band on the content and pacing, we’ve decided to hold back the documentary portion of ‘Survive’. The quality of everything we do is at the forefront of our thinking on this and I speak for all of us in UO when I say that we will continue working on the film throughout the year and hopefully will be able to get it out to you guys at little to no cost around the time of our new record release in the fall. I apologize for all of you who have supported us and this film from day 1 and I assure you something will come out somewhere…even if we have to put it online for free. With that said, I am proud to finally announce the official Underoath pre-order for our Live DVD/CD package ‘Survive Kaleidoscope’ officiallyreleasing 5/27/08. The Live DVD is at the Electric Factory in Philly andcomes loaded with a full 14 song set. It includes the entire Define The Great Line track listing as well as some of our favorites from They’re Only Chasing Safety. More information on the entire package is available here . We have a pretty killer pre-order going on at the UO store rightnow! You can be one of the first to order it direct from us! Everywhere else is pre-ordering it right now at $20-23. You can get it at our store for the next month up until street date for $15! We also had our friend Justin Nelson from Verdure Studio hand draw and stencil a custom UO shirt that is ONLYavailable at UO’s ‘Survive Kaleidoscope’ pre-order, and it’s only andextra $10! There will be an extremely limited run of these and when the pre-order is done…so will the shirt. Lastly we have 500 autographed posters that will be packaged with the Verdure custom shirt and ‘SurviveKaleidoscope’ for $30 while supplies last. Underoath‘s new live CD and DVD, Survive, Kaleidoscope, will be available in stores and online May 27th. The CD features twelve songs from both Define The Great Line and They’re Only Chasing Safety performed on tour dates across the country. Hey everybody it’s tim from underoath. We’re in the studio right now and things are coming out awesome! We’re about half way through and it’s turning out amazing thus far. I hope many of you are keeping up with all the webcams and video updates! I should have some more coming to you all soon! Some other great things have been happening around here that you guys should know about. Mainly being that over the last few months break that we all took off to write the new record, I found myself cleaning out our practice space, and realized we had boxes and boxes of shirts from past tours that needed to be moved. Initially we thought we would ship them off and put them on our webstore, but we realized that by spending thousands in shipping, that would affect the price point at which you all would buy them. Well after months of counting down and hard work I am pleased to finally announce that myself, along with Jay Vilardi from The Almost and our friend Ryan Gardner, who is working on our new film release, have opened up our own Underoath webstore at Underoath’s new webstore or via our merch link on our website! We teamed with our good friends at Studio AKT and built a custom storefront to perfectly suite what we want to do, which is provide the people that support our band with quality products, and hands on service. We have over 30 different designs in varying sizes from literally the last 2 years of touring! Every shirt is a cool 10 bucks and if you don’t mind letting us personally hook you up, you can get 3 for 25!
