Spotify Launches In the U.S.

SpotifyMusic streaming service Spotify has officially launched in the U.S. The service that has been getting rave reviews in Europe for quite some time has officially jumped the pond and you can signup for an invite today or skip their free service and join their premium program.

Spotify does offer a  free service however if you want to take your music offline or put it on your mobile device you will have to signup for their premium service. You can currently get a free 6-month premium preview if you signup for more information on the new Chevrolet Sonic on their Facebook page.

Warner Music To Stop Offering Free Music Streaming?

Its being reported that Warner Music may cut its ties with free streaming music services like Last.fm and Spotify. Digital Trends as well as many others have reported on this potential foot shooting by Warner.

If you’re a fan of free online streaming music services like Last.fm or Spotify, your music selection might be getting a lot smaller. Warner Music Group, one of the big four record labels, has apparently decided that free music streaming sites aren’t doing it any good, with CEO Edgar Bronfman saying yesterday that such services were “clearly no positive for the industry.”
