New Atlantic Lineup Change

July 25, 2007 By Bryce Jacobson Leave a Comment

Chris and Jake will be leaving New Atlantic. You car read a message from the band below.

We’re sorry to announce that Chris and Jake will be leaving New Atlantic. It is very hard to say goodbye to two of your best friends that have been there to help you build something great out of nothing, but we respect their decisions and wish them both the best. Below are personal messages from each of them:

“I want to simply say thank you. Thank you to everyone who supported me over the past few years, the people who had faith in us musically, and to all the fans and familiar faces who came out to shows time and time again. Leaving New Atlantic was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make. Though sad, this change is a very positive thing. I am very excited about the next chapter of my life and am glad to have shared the past few years with my band-mates and all of you. Though touring will not be part of my future, I am still close friends with Matt, Gio, Dave, and Jake, and wish the best to all of them. Love you all.

-Chris”

“As you now know, I have made the decision to leave New Atlantic. Overall, the route I wanted to take was different from the vision my bandmates had. It is on the best of terms and I wish them the best of luck in the future. Thank you so much to all of the Eyeball staff, Matt Watts, Eva and most importantly anyone who continues to support New Atlantic. I will be actively pursuing a new band and plan on being back at it as soon as possible.

-Jake”

While we’re sad to see them go, we have already begun the process of filling their shoes. If you or anyone you know is a talented guitarist or drummer, please hit us up. We will be holding auditions during our free time over the next month or so. However, there are some requirements…

You MUST:
– be over 18 (though we’d prefer 21+)
– have touring experience & be available to tour year round (no work/school)
– writing experience & willing to work with others
– have your own gear
– live or be willing to relocate to the NY/NJ area
– have some sort of recent recording of your playing
– have the ability to learn/practice our songs on your own
– make New Atlantic your priority

If you meet these requirements, please send your Name, Age, Email, Phone Number , & Myspace URL (if available) to newatlantic@eyeballrecords.com, with “Guitarist” or “Drummer” in the Subject line. Please, include a short message about your experience, favorite bands & influences, as well as links to some audio/video we may check out. We will contact you if we wish to hear more about you.

Thank you so much to our fans for all of your support these past few years. I promise we’ll be back up and running in no time.
