Panic! At The Disco Set To Release Box Set, Call Emo “Bullshit”

October 19, 2006 By Bryce Jacobson 7 Comments

Panic! At The Disco will release a limited-edition boxed set on November 14th. The set will come with their album A Fever You Canâ┚¬Ã¢”ž¢t Sweat Out and a DVD containing a live performance and documentary on the group. The set will also include a 140 page blank diary, lyric cards, poster, band photos, “certificate of authenticity” and more.

The band also recently stated that Emo is “Bullshit” in this article.

“It’s ignorant! The stereotype is guys that are weak and have failing relationships write about how sad they are. If you listen to our songs, not one of them has that tone,” he declared.

“Emo is bullshit!” added Urie. “If people want to take it for the literal sense of the word, yes we’re an emotional band, we put a lot of thought into what we do. People always try to stereotype us, but we don’t fit the emo stereotype.”

Sherwood are currently in Mexico writing their new album. The band is soaking in the sun, beach, and tacos as they write songs for their new album that is said to be dancy and fun. Dan posted this update on his blog:

As for the album, things are coming along awesome so far. a song called “the best in me” is coming out awesome; i am super excited, as is everyone else. also, we did an electronic alternate version of a new song “alley cat”, a la erlend oye or the postal service, and it came out so good that we are spinning all kinds of ideas around it. who knows. but for sure, this is going to be a dancy, fun album, and i am excited about how things are turning out.Ԛ
