Lucky Boys Confusion On Indefinite Hiatus

September 21, 2006 By Bryce Jacobson Leave a Comment

Lucky Boys Confusion has announced an indefinite hiatus. You can read the bands message below.

Hey gang, we’ve decided its time to address all the rumors going around concerning the band right now. As you’ve no doubt noticed, we haven’t announced our fall tour dates yet. The reason being is that the band, after 9 years playing together, is going on an indefinite hiatus. We basically burned ourselves out after our 9 week tour this summer and most of us are looking forward to being home for awhile and having some sense of normality. I wish we could give you guys more info, but lots of things are up in the air right now. Basically, the upcoming three shows in Iowa and Minnesota might be our last for quite a long time. We are still definitely locked in for Songs From A Scene in Chicago in late December, so if you can’t make it out next weekend there will still be a couple chances to catch us. Our fans are seriously some of the most rabid, loyal, hard partying kids and I hope you know how much we’ve appreciated you all over this past decade of rock n roll. More to come when we know more.

Stolen Transmission Signs Two

September 20, 2006 By Bryce Jacobson Leave a Comment

Stolen Transmission has signed two new bands, The Oohlas and Bright Light Fever. You can read the press release below.

The Oohlas, a Los Angeles based trio that is destined for commercial success with the release of Best Stop Pop. The Oohlas dirty yet accessible production of mid-nineties alternative rock has a classic feel without sounding retro. Their beautiful melodies, interesting arrangements and sophisticated compositions that will no doubt invoke flattering comparisons to bands such as Belly, Veruca Salt, Weezer and perhaps the Breeders. As a side note, The Oohlas includes former Everclear drummer, Greg Eklund.

Bright Light Fever made up of four guysԚ  (headed by Evan Ferro, the driving force behind the group) writes songs that are immediately engaging yet entirely pensive and are reminiscent of Bleach-era Nirvana and early White Stripes. They bring danceable rhythms, story-based lyrics, warm and passionate vocal, and a rawness in songwriting that is arresting for any listening. The fun doesnâ┚¬Ã¢”ž¢t stop there either, Joby from The Bronx has produced The Evening Owl, and it doesnâ┚¬Ã¢”ž¢t get much better than that!
