The Early November Announce October Headline Tour

August 6, 2012 By Bryce Jacobson 3 Comments

The Early NovemberThe Early November are excited to announce their upcoming October headline tour. Beginning on October 5 in Danbury, CT, the tour will take in ten evenings in the Midwest and on the East coast of the U.S., including stops in Philadelphia, PA, on October 6, New York City on October 9, Cambridge, MA, on October 10 and Chicago, IL, on October 19. The Early November will be touring with special guests Cartel in support of its latest full-length album, In Currents, which was released by Rise Records on July 10.

“When we all sit around like old men, reminiscing about our favorite shows from the bands history, there’s always one common thread: they we’re always some of the smallest, sweatiest, most intimate shows of any given tour,” said guitarist Joseph Marro. “It’s how we saw our favorite bands growing up. I’ve had some of the most amazing nights of my life, packed into a church basement with 400 other kids going nuts for bands like Saves The Day or The Promise Ring. That was as big as bands got to us. So when The Early November started, that’s where the bar was set. If the things that excited you 10 years ago are still exciting you now, then they must be something truly special. That’s what this tour is all about.

The Early November will be making the following appearances throughout October with Cartel. Tour dates below.

OCTOBER

05 – Danbury, CT – Heirloom Arts Theater  *
06 – Philadelphia, PA – Union Transfer  *
09 – New York, NY – Gramercy Theater  *
10 – Cambridge, MA – Middle East  *

Boys Like Girls Announce National Tour

July 25, 2012 By Bryce Jacobson 2 Comments

Boys Like GirlsBoys Like Girls have announced they’ll embark on a coast-to-coast co-headlining national tour with The All-American Rejects, kicking off September 13 in Hampton Beach, NH. On the tour will also be special guests The Ready Set and Parachute.

Three songs from the LP “Be Your Everything,” “Life Of The Party” and “The First Time” can be heard now as the [itunes link=”http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/be-your-everything/id541614869?uo=4″ title=”Boys Like Girls – Crazy World EP” text=”Crazy World EP”] is exclusively available on iTunes.

“I’ve always been a big fan of The All-American Rejects and couldn’t be more delighted to be sharing the stage with them this fall,” BOYS LIKE GIRLS front man MARTIN JOHNSON says. “I think it’s going be a great time for both the fans and bands alike. Looking forward to a really great couple of months.”

About the song “Be Your Everything,” JOHNSON says, “It’s a great transition from where the band was. We came from a wall of guitars, and the sound has evolved.” He adds: “The only time I really express my feelings is when I’m writing music. That’s how it’s been since I was a little kid. This song is about the moment when it becomes okay to say, I love you.”

“Crazy World takes you to a different place,” JOHNSON explains. “That was the point. Everything is so hyperactive and the digital distractions can be overwhelming. Step aside in this Crazy World and experience the things that truly matter.”
