SideCho Records sister company… Playback Entertainment, we focus on providing services that allow Independent Labels and their Artists to grow. We help our clients achieve their goals through two main functions. First, we build relationships with retail music buyers to accommodate their needs, and second, we provide retailers with promotional materials to help educate consumers about new independent artists.ԚÂ In simple terms, we are a retail-marketing department for Independent Labels.
Job Description:
-Educating the key retailers (500 or more) specifically selected around the target market
that the label wants to focus on.
-Building and maintaining relationships with store buyers and managers.
-Organizing call lists in File Maker/Excel.
-Tracking information logging.
-Packaging promotional material.
-Cover letter basics.
-File Maker Pro importing and exporting.
-Accessing B2B site and locating Key Customer Charts.
-Basic knowledge of recent releases, as well as, future releases.
-Obtaining knowledge of specific artists (genre, # of members, etc.).
-Soundscan knowledge.
-Learning store specifics (soundscan, weighted).
-Proper communication knowledge dealing with tracking calls.
Job Requirements:
-Bachelorâ┚¬Ã¢”ž¢s degree from a four-year college or university.
-Minimum 1 year proficiency with Mac (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
-Must be organized.
-Fantastic communication skills.
-Desire to work in the music industry”
