Dance Gavin Dance have laid out details for their upcoming Downtown Battle Mountain Tour 2011, which kicks off March 10th at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles, CA. The tour marks the official return of original front men Jon Mess and Jonny Craig (Emarosa, Isles & Glaciers). Openers To Include Iwrestledabearonce, In Fear and Faith, Close To Home, Just Like Vinyl (Featuring Thomas Erak of The Fall of Troy) And Special DJ Set By Big Chocolate
Drummer Matt Mingus tells fans, “We are all really excited to be back with the original line up! The new album is already mostly written and so far we are all very pleased with the way things are turning out! We can’t wait for you to hear the finished product!”
Dance Gavin Dance is currently holed up in the studio, recording the long awaited follow up to 2009’s Happiness. The new album, titled Downtown Battle Mountain Pt. II (the sequel to the 2007 best seller, Downtown Battle Mountain) will be released March 8th on Rise Records, to coincide with the tour.
Dance Gavin Dance is also confirmed to perform on the entire Vans Warped tour in 2011.
