Article #11 – Recap

March 10, 2007 By Tyler Hayes 3 Comments

So the new year of music is upon us. Stereos are being filled with new music after the long void that is the holidays. Already though we have had some albums released that people were highly anticipating and were hoping would be good enough to last the remainder of 2007 without getting sick of. Some of those releases are from Bloc party, Anberlin, Fall Out Boy, Dustin Kensrue, Futures of forestry, Relient K and The Shins not to mention a bunch of other releases out so far, so how is this year shaping up so far?

Has the beginning of your year been filled with let downs or surprises? What are the releases that you are still waiting for 2007 to bring you?

I guess you can divide the release year into quarters like everything else. Being that the first quarter of the year is almost over I’d have to say it was a decent one. Releases from Anberlin, Relient K, and Sherwood were on the top of my prediction list, and all of those releases are great. There were a lot of other decent releases but nothing that really struck me as amazing. I’m looking forward to more later this year though like Motion City Soundtrack and Jimmy Eat World.
