SideCho Signs Via Audio

SideCho Records has signed Via Audio. You can read the press release below.

SideCho Records is pleased to announce the signing of Via Audio, a 4-piece pop/indie/experimental band from the Northeast. Their debut album on SideCho Records, titled Say Something, will be released on September 25, 2007, and was produced by Jim Eno of Spoon (Mates of State, Bright Eyes, Maria Taylor, Okkervil River). Deathcab for Cutie’s Chris Walla noted Via Audio as his “new favorite band” according to an article in Under the Radar magazine recently. The band has also been asked to play the Monolith Festival in Colorado with such big names as The Flaming Lips, Spoon, and Turbonegro in September.

The Academy Is… Announce Fall Tour

The Academy Is… are planning to hit the road this fall on the “Sleeping With Giants” tour. The jaunt will take them across the country from September 5th through November 28th. Along for the ride are The Rocket Summer, Armor for Sleep, and Sherwood.

Glassjaw Has A Date

Glassjaw has announced on their website a UK date for the band. You can find ticket info at their site, glassjaw.com Also Dance In My Blood is reporting that on July 13th, Glassjaw will be playing the Glasshouse in CA. Apparently all that is just a rumor and there is no other date than the UK one.

Against Me! Video Preview

Against Me! have posted a stream of their new song, “White People for Peace” as well as stills from an upcoming video. The video is expected to premiere on June 8th. The track is the first single from their upcoming debut for major label, Sire Records. The record is titled New Wave and is due out July 10, 2007.

Bedouin Soundclash joins up with O.A.R. to play some shows on the west coast and then makes their way across Canada on the festival circuit. With their new record “Street Gospels” coming out August 21st you can bet they will be playing some new material out there on the road. You can check out one new song called, “Until We Burn in the Sun (The Kids Just Want a Love Song)” on the 2007 Vans Warped Tour Compilation.
