Motion City Soundtrack are heading back into the studio to produce their Columbia Records debut with Mark Hoppus (Blink 182). The Higher Set Release Date

April 21, 2009 By Bryce Jacobson Leave a Comment

The Higher have set June 23rd as the release date for their new album, It’s Only Natural. The bands cover of “¨Ne-Yo’s “Closer” can now be heard on their MySpace page.

Produced by Mike Green (Paramore, The Matches), It’s Only Natural features twelve tracks that ooze hormones and heartbreak for a fun, sexy album that’s filled with songs like the irresistibly dancey “It’s Only Natural,” the pool-side anthem “Undertaker” and a seductive cover of Ne-Yo’s “Closer,” (available for stream here) which will be wearing grooves from dance floors to backseats all summer long. Prepare to fall in love with Vegas’ hottest attraction.

“I’m really excited for the release of this record,” says exuberant frontman Seth Trotter. “It’s gonna incorporate the same R&B/Pop vibe that The Higher always bring, and it also brings back some of the guitar and rock that the old Higher fans might miss. It’s the kind of record that has songs that everyone will enjoy, no matter what kind of music you listen to.”

The Higher Tour Dates:

Apr 30 ““ Knitting Factory ““ Los Angeles, CA
May 1 ““ The Crossing ““ Palmdale, CA
May 16 ““ Electric Theater ““ St. George, UT
May 22 ““ Soma ““ San Diego, CA
May 27 ““ Club Underground ““ Reno, NV
May 28 ““ The Venue ““ Los Gatos, CA
