Justin Pierre Directing Limbeck Videos

March 22, 2007 By Bryce Jacobson Leave a Comment

This Saturday March 24th & Sunday March 25th Justin Pierre (Motion City Soundtrack) will be directing 2 music videos for Limbeck. If your in the Minneapolis area and would like to be an extra read below for more information.

This Saturday March 24th & Sunday March 25th I am directing 2 music videos for the band LIMBECK. Back to back, just like Grindhouse. Itâ┚¬Ã¢”ž¢ll be a LIMBECK SHINDIG!!! HOORAY!!!

The thing isâ┚¬Ã‚¦ We need BODIES! So if you are a human being (ages 18 & beyond) come to this address on Saturday March 24th:

5612 South Bryant in Minneapolis from 8am to Noon. Bring whatever youâ┚¬Ã¢”ž¢d normally wear if you were hanging out with the Limbeck Band. Also, bring a crazy costume, Halloween style for the grand finaleâ┚¬Ã¢”ž¢(more on that later). Tell all your friends to come too. Please bring a photo I.D. as well (itâ┚¬Ã¢”ž¢s technical junk not even I understand, but is very important). If you are under 18 you can still participate, you just need to have a parent or legal guardian accompany you (more technical mumbojumbo). For real, this will be an awesome experience to the max & beyond!!!

For Sunday March 25th we need only 21 & ups with photo I.D. Sorry, NO ACCEPTIONS! We are shooting in a bar & those are the bar rules. At the moment, I do not have the address for that location, but I will post within the day where and when. For this part of the video, weâ┚¬Ã¢”ž¢d prefer people that have facial hair & wear cowboy boots & just love a snort of whiskey first thing in the morning (a grave exaggeration, but you get where Iâ┚¬Ã¢”ž¢m going, right?)

If you are torn between Saturday or Sunday I suggest you come to Saturdays Shindig. We need TONS of BODIES!!! Also, if you know someone with a crazy talent like rollerblading, fire eating or monster truck driving(?) please invite them. The end of the video involves a lot of talented and bizarre activities happening at once. Weâ┚¬Ã¢”ž¢re closing down an entire street for this!!! Hooray!!!

Send this invite to everyone you know. Thank you.

-Justin Pierre.

Chase Pagan Releases Free EP Through InSound

March 22, 2007 By Bryce Jacobson Leave a Comment

Militia Group artist Chase Pagan has released his stylistically-expansive debut EP, The Chase Pagan EP, for free at InSound.

The EP consists of five stellar cuts, including a spot-on cover of Queen’s “Play the Game” (#5). Tracks 1-3 are from Pagan’s forthcoming debut, Oh Musica– while tracks 4 & 5 are from “The Lost Recordings”, and were produced by the acclaimed Ross Robinson (The Cure, At the Drive-in). Such talented musicians as Stephen Perkins (Jane’s Addiction), and Gretta Cohn (Cursive) appear on the recording.

Carried by Pagan’s lilting falsetto and charismatic, sometimes fantastical songwriting, the forthcoming Oh, Musica is a debut of impressive scope. Whether it’s the bouncy reincarnation romp “Waltzing in the Sky”, the impassioned tango inside “Spanish Tongue”, or the rich upright bass and crashing keys of closer “Viola” the realization of Pagan’s expansive ambitions is an enchanting one. His distinctively orchestral, vaudevillian style, paired with his natural, organic and unpretentious essence make for a pleasing catharsis. “My music is a fantasy that I live in”, says Chase– and his songs positively reflect that.
