The Last Goodnight Album Details, Tour Dates
Published by Bryce Jacobson August 28th, 2007 in News. 1 Comment 519 viewsThis week marks the release of, Poison Kiss, the debut album from The Last Goodnight. The band’s slinky grooves have been compared to Maroon 5 while the pop-rock songwriting smarts of lead singer Kurtis John brings to mind Rob Thomas of Matchbox Twenty. The band was signed by A&R heavyweight Jeff Blue who is also credited with the discovery of Linkin Park and Macy Gray among others. The music industry veteran championed their hook laden songs and went on to executive produce Poison Kiss which also features co-production work from Limp Bizkit’s DJ Lethal. The songs on the album run the stylistic gamut from R&B tinged rock to fragile ballads. Their debut single and video, “Pictures of You†has been embraced by Vh1 and even won MTV’s Battle of the Videos contest earlier this month. The song has also been included in the new season of Mtv’s hit show The Hills and was chosen by ABC in the commercial campaign for their hit drama Brothers and Sisters. The band has been touring the states with Rocco DeLuca & The Burden and is going to join American Idol’s Elliot Yamin on a co-headlining run in October.
